AMISH SUGAR COOKIES 
1 c. butter
1 c. sugar
1 c. powdered sugar
1 c. salad oil
2 eggs, beaten
4 1/2 c. flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. cream of tartar
1 tsp. salt
1 1/2 tsp. vanilla

Cream butter and sugars. Add beaten eggs and oil, mix well. Add vanilla and dry ingredients into mixture and beat well. Drop by teaspoon onto ungreased cookie sheet. Flatten with sugared glass bottom. Bake at 350 degrees for 10 to 12 minutes.

NOTE: If you'd like a lemony taste add the zest and juice of 2 medium sized lemons. Also add a bit more flour so the batter isn't so sticky.
