14 LAYER CHOCOLATE CAKE 
1 c. shortening
3 c. self rising flour
2 tsp. vanilla
2 c. sugar
1 c. milk
6 eggs

Mix all ingredients together. Put 3 big tablespoons of batter to each cake pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 5 to 8 minutes.

FROSTING:

2 c. sugar
1 1/2 sticks butter
6 tsp. cocoa
1 lg. can milk
3 tbsp. hot water

Mix together sugar, cocoa and hot water to form a paste. Add milk and butter; mix well. Bring to a rolling boil for 2 or 3 minutes. Spread between layers and on top of cake. (You may have to make two batches of frosting.)
