1/4 lb. butter
1/2 c. sugar
1 egg
3/4 c. sifted flour
1 tsp. vanilla
Pinch of salt

Cream butter and sugar together. Add beaten egg and flour alternately then vanilla and salt. Drop by teaspoon on greased cookie tin. Oven 350 degrees, 10-15 minutes.
