JOHN'S TURTLE BROWNIES 
1 (14 oz.) pkg. caramels
2/3 c. evaporated milk
1 box German chocolate cake mix
3/4 c. softened butter
1 c. nuts (pecans or walnuts)
12 oz. semi-sweet chocolate pieces

Melt caramels in 1/3 cup evaporated milk. Combine cake mix with 1/3 cup milk and butter. Blend until mixture holds together. Stir in nuts. Press one half of cake mixture in a 13"x9" pan and bake for 6 minutes at 350 degrees.
