DIXIE'S PEACH COBBLER | |
1 stick butter 1 (number 2 1/2) can sliced peaches 1/2 c. brown sugar 1 c. plain flour 2 tsp. baking powder 1 lg. egg 1/3 c. milk 1/2 c. white sugar 1/2 tsp. salt 1/2 tsp. cinnamon Melt butter in 9 x 13 inch pan. Beat egg and milk and stir into flour and sugar mixture. Spoon evenly into melted butter. Drain peaches. Stir 1/4 teaspoon cinnamon into peach slices. Spoon peach slices over batter. Bake in 300 degree oven for 45 minutes. (9 x 13 inch pan makes about 1 inch thick cobbler; can use smaller pan or Pyrex dish for thicker cobbler.) Serve warm with ice cream or with whipped topping. |
