LEBKUCHEN 
1 egg
3/4 c. brown sugar
1/2 c. honey
1/2 c. dark molasses
3 c. sifted all-purpose flour
1 1/4 tsp. nutmeg
1 1/4 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. cloves
1/2 tsp. allspice
1/2 c. slivered almonds
1/2 c. chopped mixed candied fruits and peels
Lemon Glaze

Beat egg; add brown sugar; beat until fluffy. Stir in honey and molasses. Sift together flour, nutmeg, cinnamon, soda, cloves and allspice; add to first mixture; mix well. Stir in nuts, fruits and peels. Chill dough several hours.

On floured surface, roll 1/4 inch thick; cut in 3 1/2 x 2 inch rectangles. Bake on greased cookie sheet in moderate oven (350 degrees) about 12 minutes. Cool slightly; remove and cool on rack. While cookies are still warm, brush with:

LEMON GLAZE:

Combine: 1 tbsp. lemon juice 1/2 tsp. grated lemon peel Dash salt 1 1/2 c. sifted confectioners' sugar

Trim with Christmas stickers, if desired. Makes 2 dozen.
