ALMOND CRESCENTS 
COOKIES:

ix together thoroughly:

1 c. soft shortening (butter)
1/3 c. sugar
2/3 c. ground blanched almonds - walnuts

ift together and work in:

1 2/3 c. sifted flour (Gold medal suggested)
1/4 tsp. salt

Chill dough.

Roll with hands pencil thick. Cut 2 1/2 inch lengths. Form into crescents on ungreased baking sheet. Bake until set. NOT BROWN. Cool on pan until slightly warm, carefully dip in one cup confectioners' sugar and teaspoon cinnamon mixed. Temperature 325 degrees (slow moderate oven). Bake 14-16 minutes. Amount 5 dozen 2 1/2 inch cookies.
