MARINATED GREEN BEAN SALAD 
2 cans French style green beans, drained
2 bell peppers, cut into rings
1 white onion
2 purple onions
3/4 c. sugar
2/3 c. vinegar
1 tsp. pepper
1/4 c. oil

Drain beans, slice peppers and onions into rings. Mix sugar, vinegar, pepper and oil in a sauce pan. Heat until sugar dissolves. Pour over vegetables and refrigerate.
