SWEET/SOUR CABBAGE 
4 to 5 c. shredded cabbage
4 slices bacon, diced
2 tbsp. brown sugar
2 tbsp. flour
1/2 c. water
1/3 c. vinegar
Salt & pepper to taste
Sm. sliced onion

Cook cabbage in salted water, boiling 7 minutes. Fry bacon and remove from fat. Add sugar and flour to bacon fat and blend. Add water, vinegar and seasonings. Cook until thick. Add onion and cook a short while. Add diced bacon and drained cabbage. Heat thoroughly. Serves: 4 to 6.
