BATTER BREAD 
2 pkgs. dry yeast
1 tsp. salt
6 c. flour
2 c. half milk, half water
2 tbsp. honey
4 tbsp. butter, cut into slices
2 eggs

Mix yeast, salt and 1/2 flour in large bowl. Heat milk just below boiling, remove. Add honey and butter. Let stand until butter is melted and mixture is lukewarm to handle. Add liquids to mixture (flour) beat until well mixed. Add eggs, beat in rest of flour, with buttered hands, pat top of dough until smooth. Cover. Let dough rise until doubled, 1 hour. Punch dough down, stir for a moment. Put into 2 (1 1/2 quart) casseroles, well greased. Let rise until just above edges. Pat with buttered hands. Bake at 375 degrees 35 to 45 minutes.
