1 c. butter
1/2 c. sugar
2 c. sifted flour
1 c. ground nuts
1 tsp. vanilla

Cream butter and sugar until fluffy. Add all the other ingredients. Mix well with hands. Roll into balls. You can put a cherry in each if you want and form dough around cherry. Bake on ungreased cookie sheet in oven at 350 degrees for 15-20 minutes. While warm roll in powdered sugar.
