NEVER FAIL BAKING POWDER
BISCUITS

2 c. sifted all purpose flour
1 tbsp. baking powder
1 tsp. salt
1/2 c. butter
3/4 c. milk (about)

Sift together flour, baking powder, salt into bowl. Cut in butter until mixture resembles coarse meal or crumbs. Stir in enough milk to make a soft dough that leaves the side of the bowl and sticks to the mixing fork.

Take enough batter for one biscuit, knead with hands and place into a pan. Continue until all the batter is gone. If you want soft sides on the biscuits, place the biscuits close together. Bake at 450 degrees for 10 to 12 minutes or until golden brown.

Mine came out great I was fearful of the amount of baking powder it calls for, but I was wrong, it was one of the best I have ever made.

They came out perfectly and are delicious. Would be a good idea though to say how many biscuits this recipe makes to give a novice cook an idea of how large to make them. I made eight and they took longer to bake than stated in the recipe - about 16 minutes.

Amazing biscuits. I actually changed the amount of salt and added a little sugar. The recipe is easy to make and the biscuits are delicious!
