BUTTER HORNS 
1 c. butter
1/2 c. sugar
1 c. warm water
4 c. flour
3 egg yolks
1 1/2 yeast cakes
Salt
Rind of 1/2 lemon

Beat egg yolks, add sugar and melted butter. Dissolve yeast in a little of the warm water with 1 teaspoon sugar sprinkled on top. Add salt, lemon rind, and flour. Let stand overnight in a cool place.

Divide batter into 3 sections. Roll as for pie. Spread with melted butter and brown sugar. Cut into wedges as a pie. Spread with nut meat, chopped finely. Begin to roll at wide end to small end. Put on buttered cookie sheet, let rise 1 hour.

Bake in 350 degree oven for 20-30 minutes. While still hot, spread with confectioners' sugar frosting. Watch they burn easily.
