SPICY APRICOT-PRUNE RING 
1 c. boiling water
1/2 c. pitted prunes, cut up
1/2 c. dried apricots, cut up
2 c. flour
1 1/2 c. sugar
1 1/4 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. cinnamon
1 tsp. nutmeg
1/2 tsp. ground cloves
1/2 c. vegetable oil
3 eggs
1 tsp. vanilla
1 c. chopped pecans
Confectioners' sugar

Pour boiling water on fruit in large mixer bowl; let stand 1 hour. Heat oven to 350 degrees. Lightly grease and flour bundt pan. Beat fruit and remaining ingredients for 3 minutes on medium speed. Pour into pan. Bake until cake tests done, 50-55 minutes. Cool 10 minutes; remove from pan. Cool completely. Sprinkle with confectioners' sugar.
