ESTHER'S SOUR CREAM CUSTARD
APPLE PIE
 
9-inch pie shell (unbaked)
2 tbsp. flour
1/4 tsp. salt
1 egg
1 c. sour cream
3/4 c. sugar
1 tsp. vanilla
3 apples, peeled & sliced

Beat together flour, salt, egg, sour cream, sugar and vanilla. Stir in apples. Pour into pie shell. Bake at 400 degrees for 25 minutes.

TOPPING:

1 c. walnuts
1/2 c. flour
1/2 c. butter, softened
1/3 c. white sugar
1/3 c. brown sugar
1 tbsp. cinnamon
Pinch of salt

Mix all topping ingredients together and sprinkle on top of baked pie. Bake an additional 15 minutes at 375 degrees.
