RUBY'S POP-NUT BRITTLE 
1 1/2 c. sugar
1/2 c. butter
1/2 c. water
1/2 c. white Karo

Pop 24 cups popped corn, add 1 cup nuts or more as desired. Combine in large buttered pan and hold for 10 minutes in 325 degree oven to heat thoroughly. Cook above to 300 degrees, crack stage. Remove from heat and add 1 teaspoon vanilla. Pour hot syrup over pop-nut mix and stir quickly.

Pour out on 2 or 3 buttered cookie sheets, spreading with buttered forks. When slightly cool, break into chunks. Can be stored in airtight containers for happy munching through the holidays.
