CHERRY COBBLER 
1 stick butter
2 c. sugar, divided
1 c. flour (self-rising)
1 c. milk
2 cans tart pitted unsweetened cherries

Melt butter in 9"x13" oblong pan. Mix 1 cup sugar with flour and milk and pour in pan. Pour in cherries and sprinkle other cup sugar on top of sugar. Bake at 375 degrees for 35 to 40 minutes.
