PORK CHOPS CACCIATORE 
6 pork chops, cut 3/4 inch thick
1/2 tsp. salt
6 thin onion slices
1 env. spaghetti sauce mix
1 (1 lb.) can or 2 c. tomatoes or tomato sauce
1 tbsp. brown sugar
6 green pepper rings

Trim fat from chops. Brown chops in 1 tablespoon melted fat and season with a little salt and pepper. Place in pan so they lay separate. Top each chop with onion slice. Combine next 3 ingredients, pour over chops. Cover with foil and bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour. Uncover, top chops with green pepper. Bake 15 minutes more. Serve sauce over hot cooked rice. (It is rather spicy, you could use part of the envelope of sauce mix.)
