TEXAS BROWNIES 
2 c. sugar
2 c. flour
1/2 tsp. salt
4 tbsp. cocoa
1 c. water
1/2 stick butter
1/2 c. oil
2 eggs
1 tsp. baking soda
1/2 c. buttermilk

Mix sugar, flour and salt together in a bowl. Mix together cocoa and water. Put in pan butter and oil, heat until butter melts. Add cocoa and water mixture. Bring to a boil, pour into dry mixture; mix well. Add eggs, baking soda and milk. Mix well. Bake 20 to 25 minutes at 350 degrees on large cookie sheet.

TEXAS BROWNIE ICING:

1 box powdered sugar
3 or 4 tbsp. cocoa
5 tbsp. milk
1 stick butter
1 tsp. vanilla
1 sm. bag chopped nuts (opt.)

Put sugar in bowl. Put cocoa, milk and butter in pan and heat until butter melts, mixing well. Add vanilla and nuts, mix into sugar and pour over brownies while brownies are still hot.
