WAFFLES 
2 c. flour
1/2 tsp. salt
3 tsp. baking powder
2 eggs
1 3/4 c. milk
4 tbsp. oil

Put dry ingredients, milk and egg yolks in bowl. Add oil. Beat egg white until stiff and fold into batter. Cook waffles until a golden brown.

MAPLE SYRUP FOR WAFFLES:

1 3/4 c. white sugar
1/4 c. brown sugar
1 c. water
1/2 tsp. vanilla
1/2 tsp. maple flavoring

Combine in saucepan. Bring to a boil. Cover and cook for 1 minutes. Cool slightly. Add 1/2 teaspoon vanilla and 1/2 teaspoon maple flavoring.

I sometimes leave flavoring out and add 1 cup jam to hot mixture. Real good on waffles.
