BUTTERMILK BAKED EGG 
1 slice sandwich bread
1 egg
Salt & pepper
1/4 c. buttermilk

Toast bread lightly. Cut 1 1/2" round hole in center. Butter small oven proof dish and place toast in it. Break egg into hole and season with salt and pepper to taste. Spoon the buttermilk over the egg and bake at 350 degrees for 15 minutes. Serve hot. These eggs look appealing when served with a slice of good ham.
