CHOCOLATE CARAMEL BARS 
1 bag caramels (50)
2/3 c. evaporated milk
1 (18 1/4 oz.) box devil's food cake mix
3/4 c. butter, melted
1 c. chocolate chips
1 c. chopped walnuts

Melt caramels and 1/3 cup evaporated milk until smooth (in microwave or double boiler). Mix cake mix, melted butter and 1/3 cup evaporated milk for 2 minutes at medium speed. Spread half the batter in greased 13"x9" pan. Bake 8 minutes at 350 degrees. Cool 2 minutes. Pour caramel mixture over baked layer. Sprinkle with chocolate chips. Stir 1/2 cup nuts into remaining batter. Drop by spoonful over caramel layer. Sprinkle with rest of nuts. Bake at 350 degrees for 20 minutes. Cool before cutting.

Since microwave ovens vary in power, you may need to adjust your cooking time.
