COCONUT MAPLE BARS | |
1 1/4 c. flour 1/4 c. sugar 2/3 c. butter 2/3 c. maple syrup 1 tsp. salt 1 c. coconut 1 tsp. vanilla Mix flour, sugar, and 1/2 cup butter. Crumble mixture into coarse crumbs. Press firmly into bottom of 9 x 9 inch square pan. Bake at medium heat for 12 to 15 minutes or until lightly browned. Mix syrup, remaining butter, and salt together. Cook, stirring occasionally, until slightly thickened. Remove from heat; add coconut and vanilla. Spread over crumb mixture; return to oven. Bake 15 minutes longer or until top is browned. |
