BEEF NUT CASSEROLE 
3 lg. onions, chopped
1/2 lb. butter
2 lbs. ground beef
2 cans cream of mushroom soup
1 lg. can evaporated milk
1 lb. sharp cheddar cheese
1 can chow mein noodles
1 sm. can cashew nuts
12 oz. narrow flat noodles, cooked & drained

Saute onions in butter. Add ground beef. Stir until beef is cooked. Heat soup and milk, stirring, DO NOT boil. Then add to beef and onion mixture.

In oblong baking dish, place layer of cooked noodles then layer of meat and soup mixture. Grate cheese over this and then repeat whole procedure.

Bake in 350 degree oven for 20 to 25 minutes. Remove and sprinkle with chow mein noodles and nuts. Return to oven and brown nuts and noodles. Makes 2 long baking dishes. Serves 18 to 20.
