1 c. butter
1/2 c. sugar
1 tsp. vanilla
2 c. sifted flour
1 c. chopped nuts, optional
1 pkg. chocolate kisses
Confectioners' sugar

Beat butter, sugar and vanilla until light. Add flour and nuts; blend well. Shape dough around kisses. Bake on ungreased cookie sheet at 375 degrees for 12 minutes. Cool on rack. While warm roll in confectioners' sugar. Makes 50.
