OATMEAL - CHOCOLATE CHIP CAKE 
1 c. oatmeal
1 c. sugar
1 c. packed brown sugar
1/2 c. butter
2 eggs
1 3/4 c. flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt
3 tbsp. cocoa
1 (12 oz.) pkg. chocolate chips

Combine 1 3/4 cups very hot water and oatmeal in bowl. Let stand for 10 minutes. Add sugar, brown sugar and butter; stir until butter melts. Add eggs; mix well. Blend in flour, soda, salt and cocoa. Add half the chocolate chips; mix well.

Pour into greased 9 x 13 inch pan. Sprinkle remaining chocolate chips over top. Bake at 350 degrees for 25-35 minutes or until cake tests done. Needs no frosting, but is good with whip cream or ice cream.
