APPLE MUFFINS 
1 c. flour
3 tsp. baking powder
1/2 c. milk
1/4 tsp. salt
1/4 c. sugar
3 tbsp. Crisco
1 c. rolled oats
3/4 c. tart apples
1 egg, beaten
1/2 c. milk

Sift flour, salt, baking powder, and sugar. Add Crisco and mix thoroughly. Add oats and cut up apples. Mix well. Lastly add milk and egg. Sprinkle topping over muffins (muffin tin) and bake at 375 degrees until done, approximately 20 minutes. Nuts can also be added - enjoy.

TOPPING: 3 tablespoons brown sugar with cinnamon.
