HOME - BAKED LOAF BREAD 
1 pkg. dry yeast
1 c. sugar
4 tbsp. shortening, melted
2 c. milk, scalded
1 c. milk, warm
2 tsp. salt
8 c. flour, approx.
2 egg whites

Dissolve yeast in warm milk. Add sugar, salt and shortening. Stir in approximately 4 cups flour then 2 cups scalded milk that has been cooled. Add more flour and egg whites stiffly beaten. Add remaining flour to make stiff dough. Let rise 1 hour. Knead put into 2 loaf pans; let rise 1 hour. Bake at 300 degrees for 1 hour.
