SNICKERDOODLES 
1 c. butter
2 eggs
2 1/2 c. sugar, divided
2 3/4 c. flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt
2 tsp. cream of tartar
1 tbsp. cinnamon

Cream 1 1/2 cups sugar, eggs, and butter. Add flour, baking soda, salt and cream of tartar. Chill dough at least 2 hours. Roll into balls and coat with a mixture of remaining cup sugar and cinnamon. Bake at 350 degrees for 8 to 10 minutes. Do not overbake.
