CHICKEN STEW | |
1 hen 1 bell pepper 1 stick celery 1 large can evaporated milk 1 gal. milk 1 whole onion 6 medium Irish potatoes Cook chicken, pepper, celery and onion in 1 gallon water until meat comes off bone. (Save water.) Take meat off bone (do not use skin). Dice potatoes and cook (separate). Mash up 1/2 of onion, celery and bell pepper with fork. Add chicken, potatoes, mashed onion, bell pepper and celery, milk and can of milk to the water you cooked the chicken in. Salt and pepper to taste. Cook until hot enough to eat. |
