SAUSAGE AND SPAGHETTI CASSEROLE | |
1 lb. Italian sausage 1/4 c. vegetable oil 1 med. onion, chopped 2 cloves minced garlic 2 c. sliced mushrooms 1 (20 oz.) can tomato sauce 1 tsp. salt 1/4 tsp. pepper 1/4 tsp. oregano 1/2 c. grated Romano cheese 1 lb. spaghetti, prepared according to pkg. directions and drained 1/2 c. grated Mozzarella cheese Bake sausage at 350 degrees for 45 minutes. Cut into 1/2 inch pieces. Heat oil in a large frying pan and saute onions, garlic and mushrooms for 5 minutes. Stir in tomato sauce, salt, pepper and oregano. Simmer for 1 hour. Place spaghetti in 4-quart casserole. Sprinkle on Romano cheese. Pour cooked tomato sauce on top. Sprinkle on Mozzarella cheese. Bake at 375 degrees for 15 minutes or until cheese is golden. |
