STRAWBERRY DIVINITY 
3 c. sugar
3/4 c. corn syrup
3/4 c. water
2 egg whites
3 oz. pkg. strawberry gelatin
1 c. nuts or coconut

Combine sugar, syrup and water in heavy saucepan. Bring to boil. Reduce heat. Cook to hard ball stage. Beat egg whites until fluffy. Add gelatin gradually, continuing to beat until stiff peaks form. Pour hot syrup slowly into egg white mixture, beating constantly until candy holds shape and loses gloss. Fold in nuts or coconut. Drop by spoonfuls onto waxed paper.
