HAMBURGER SOUP 
1 lb. ground round
1 med. onion
1 lg. potato, diced
1 c. sliced carrots
1/2 c. chopped celery
1 pkg. frozen peas
1 can tomatoes
1 bay leaf
1/2 tsp. thyme
1 tbsp. fresh parsley
1 tbsp. tomato paste
Salt and pepper to taste

Brown chopped meat. Drain off fat. In large pot pour canned tomatoes and paste. Add meat, onion, potato, carrots, celery, parsley and thyme. Use about 4 cups water. Simmer for 1/2 hour until potatoes and carrots are tender. Add frozen peas; condiments to taste. Simmer additional 10 minutes. We serve with sour cream or Louisiana hot sauce. Enjoy!
