SAUCEPAN RICE PUDDING | |
3 c. milk 1/2 c. long grain rice 1/3 c raisins 1 tbsp. butter 1/4 c. sugar 1/4 tsp. ground cinnamon 1/4 tsp. salt In a heavy medium saucepan, bring milk to boiling; stir in uncooked rice, raisins, and 1/4 teaspoon salt; cover. Cook over low heat, stirring occasionally, for 30 to 40 minutes or until most of the milk is absorbed (mixture may appear curdled). Spoon into dessert dishes. Dot with butter and sprinkle with a mixture of the sugar and cinnamon. Serves 6. |
