PIGS IN BLANKETS 
1 head cabbage
2 lbs. hamburger
Salt and pepper
1/2 c. rice
1 1/2 qt. tomatoes (3 cans canned)

Use Dutch oven or heavy kettle. Steam cabbage to loosen leaves of cabbage. Mix hamburger, rice, salt, and pepper. Shape into small balls. Wrap each ball with a cabbage leaf. Lay remaining leaves on top. Pour tomatoes over all and cook on top of stove 1 1/2 hours or bake in oven 2 hours at 350 degrees.
