MEATBALLS - SMYRNA - STYLE 
2 lbs. ground beef
1/2 tsp. garlic salt
1/2 c. seasoned Italian bread crumbs
1 tsp. ground cumin
Salt and pepper to taste
2 eggs, slightly beaten
1/4 c. minced onions
1/2 c. red wine
1 (8 oz.) can tomato sauce
1 c. water

Combine ground beef, bread crumbs, garlic, onions, eggs, seasonings, and wine. Mix together well, by hand. Make small egg shaped balls.

Place meatballs in baking pan. Pour tomato sauce and water over them. Cover with aluminum foil. Bake in moderate oven. When meat is half cooked, place peeled and quartered potatoes in the pan. A little more water and tomato sauce may be added if necessary. Bake until potatoes are tender.
