“TWISTS” IS IN:

TWISTS 
2 eggs
1/2 cup sugar
1 cup milk
3 cups flour
1 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. vanilla

Beat eggs lightly, add sugar and milk. Mix.

Add flour, baking powder and vanilla. Mix well.

Roll out on a lightly floured surface or silicone baking sheet. Cut into 1/2-inch strips.

Hold strips at the center, then twist. Deep fry in hot oil or shortening until twists are a light golden brown. Drain on absorbent paper towels.

Sprinkle with powdered sugar or a cinnamon sugar mixture or shake in a clean paper bag with a few tablespoons of turbinado sugar and cinnamon, or maple or brownulated sugar. Any flavored sugar may be used, or twists can be drizzled with honey.
