GREEN TOMATO CASSEROLE | |
1. Wash and slice green tomatoes. 2. Layer them in a casserole dish and on each layer, sprinkle salt, pepper, sugar and lemon peel. (May also use a prepared lemon marinade spice.) 3. Sprinkle bread or cracker crumbs on each layer and generously on top layer. 4. Dot top layer with pats of butter. 5. Cook about 1 hour at 400 degrees. |
