WORLD'S BEST PIE CRUST 
2 c. flour
1/4 c. butter, softened
1/2 c. butter, softened
1/2 tsp. salt
Juice of 1/2 lemon (or 1 tsp. lemon juice)
2 egg yolks
5 tbsp. ice water

In mixer bowl (preferable BOSCH!!) put 2 cups flour and 1/2 teaspoon salt; add butter and butter. Mix until resembles small peas. Add lemon juice, egg yolks and 5 tablespoons water. Mix well, but not too much. Bake at 425 degrees for 15 minutes.

(This is fool proof. For new brides [as I was 8 years ago] you just can't screw up. And what excellent flavor!!)

I make 2 batches ahead of time and then separate and wrap in Saran Wrap and freeze. When I need crust, I take out and thaw and Bingo! all set to go. Terrific for pastry.
