BAKED CUSTARD 
3 eggs
1/4 c. sugar
1 tsp. vanilla
3 c. milk
Pinch salt

Scald milk; beat eggs and add with sugar and salt to milk. Add vanilla (nutmeg or cinnamon sprinkled on top). Pour into buttered custard cups. Set in a pan of hot water and bake in moderate oven (350 degrees) until firm. (Test by inserting knife - comes out clean - done.)
