ONE STEP POUND CAKE 
2 1/4 c. self-rising flour
2 c. sugar
1/2 tsp. salt (add only if using plain flour)
1/2 tsp. baking soda (add only if using plain flour)
1 tsp. vanilla
1 c. butter
1 c. sour cream or 1 container of yogurt (any flavor)
2 eggs

While blending in a large bowl, it will form a stiff, heavy, and doughy batter. Grease and flour either 2 loaf pans or a bundt pan. Empty into pan and bake at 325 degrees for 60 minutes. Top of cake will spring back when touched lightly. Cool cake upright in pan for 15 minutes and then invert onto cake plate to finish cooling.
