GRANDMOTHER'S APRICOT CANDY | |
1 lb. dried apricots 2 c. sugar 2 c. chopped pecans 1 whole orange Grind orange and apricots with the coarse blade of a meat grinder. In a heavy saucepan simmer ground apricots over low heat. Stir until it begins to boil. Boil for 5 minutes, stirring constantly. Add nuts. Pour mixture onto waxed paper. Cut into strips and pat on powdered sugar. Wrap in small strips of wax paper, twisting both ends. Store in air-tight container. |
