JUNE'S DANISH APPLE PIE | |
This pie is best served warm. Adding a scoop of ice cream makes it even tastier! apples (any variety) 1/2 cup (1 stick) butter 1 cup sugar 1 egg 1 cup all-purpose flour 2 tbsp. cinnamon 2 tbsp. sugar Preheat oven to 350°F. Peel and slice apples into your favorite pie dish till about 3/4 full. Sprinkle apples with a mixture of cinnamon and sugar. In a small saucepan melt butter. Add sugar and mix. Add egg and then flour. Stir till smooth and there are no lumps. Make sure you add the ingredients in the order listed or the egg will begin to cook. Pour this mixture over the sliced apples making sure you get around the edges also. Bake at 350°F for 1 hour. Submitted by: June Anderson |
