PEANUT BUTTER OATMEAL BARS 
1 c. all purpose flour
1 c. quick cooking rolled oats
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1/2 c. butter
1/2 c. granulated sugar
1/2 c. packed brown sugar
1 egg
1/3 c. peanut butter
1/4 c. milk
1/2 tsp. vanilla
1 (6 oz.) pkg. (1 c.) semi sweet chocolate pieces
1/4 c. sifted powdered sugar
2 tbsp. peanut butter
2 to 3 tbsp. milk

Grease a 13 x 9 x 2 inch baking pan. Combine flour, oats, soda, and 1/4 teaspoon salt. Beat butter of 30 seconds; add sugars and beat until fluffy. Add egg, the 1/3 cup peanut butter, the 1/4 cup milk, and vanilla; beat well. Add dry ingredients to beaten mixture, beating until smooth. Spread mixture in pan. Bake in a 350 degree oven for 18 to 20 minutes. Immediately sprinkle chocolate pieces over top; let stand until softened, then spread evenly. Cool. Combine powdered sugar and the 2 tablespoons peanut butter. Gradually add enough milk to make of drizzling consistency. Drizzle over top. Let stand several hours before cutting into bars. Makes 36.
