MICROWAVE SUGAR BUTTERED POPCORN | |
1 c. butter 1/2 c. light corn syrup 1 1/2 c. sugar 4 qts. salted popcorn 1 tsp. vanilla In large bowl combine butter, syrup and sugar. Microwave on High 9 to 15 minutes or until brittle (hard crack) threads form when small amount is dropped in cold water, stirring every 3 minutes. In buttered container combine corn (popped) and salt. Stir vanilla into cooked syrup and immediately pour over corn. Stir until coated. Spread mixture onto large (or two smaller) roasting pan and bake approximately 30 to 40 minutes, stirring occasionally in 250 degree oven. Spread on wax paper to cool. |

Popped 2 bags of popcorn. Added salt to popped popcorn.
1 cup butter
1/2 cup Corn Syrup
7 1/2 cups Sugar
Mircowve for 15 min. stirring every 3 min.
Added 1 tsp. Vanilla to mixture. Pour over popcorn and stired, let sit for about 5 min. then enjoy!
Also added blue food coloring before I poured it onto popcorn.
