FIG PRESERVES 
3 lbs. figs
4 c. sugar
1 tsp. salt
3 c. water
1/2 c. Karo syrup
1/4 c. honey

Combine 1 quart water with salt. Soak figs overnight in solution. Rinse next morning. Combine remaining ingredients. Bring to boil, add figs, boil gently about 1 hour. Do not over cook. Seal in jars.
