TOMATO, MACARONI AND CHEESE | |
Dash cayenne pepper 3 tbsp. butter 3 tbsp. flour 1 tsp. salt 1/8 tsp. pepper 1 can (No. 2) tomatoes 2 c. grated cheddar cheese 1 tsp. Worcestershire sauce 2 c. cooked macaroni 1 tsp. mustard Melt butter in saucepan, blend in flour and seasonings. Gradually add tomatoes and cook stirring constantly until mixture thickens, add cheese and stir until completely melted. Remove from heat, add Worcestershire and cooked macaroni. Pour into 2 quart casserole, sprinkle with additional grated cheese if desired. Bake in hot oven (375 degrees) for 30 to 35 minutes or until brown. Let stand 15 minutes before serving. Serves 8. |
