1 c. butter
1 c. powdered sugar
1 c. white sugar
1 c. oil
2 eggs
1 tsp. cream of tartar
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. vanilla
4 1/2 c. flour

Mix and chill several hours. Roll in balls. Press on a cookie sheet with a glass that has been dipped in sugar. Bake at 350 degrees for about 10 minutes.

OR, you can press through a cookie press for Christmas cookies. Decorate with colored sugar before baking.
