CAPE COD CLAM CHOWDER 
1 qt. clams, chopped
Clam juice (drained if using canned clams)
3 c. diced potatoes
1 slice salt pork
1 chopped onion
3 tbsp. butter
3 c. milk
Salt and pepper

Cut pork into bits and fry out fat. Add onion and cook until yellow. Add water and clam juice. When boiling, add potatoes. Cook 10 minutes and add chopped clams. Cook until potatoes are tender. Then add butter, milk, salt, and pepper. Serve warm.
