HAMBURGER BEAN POT SOUP 
1 c. dried red beans
3 qt. water
1 (20 oz.) can tomatoes
1 c. diced celery
1 carrot, cubed
1 potato, cubed
1/4 c. uncooked regular rice
1/3 c. chopped onion
1 beef bouillon cube
1 tbsp. salt
1/4 tsp. pepper
1/2 lb. ground beef

Rinse off beans. Add to saucepan with 3 quarts water. Bring to a boil. Boil for 2 minutes. Remove from heat. Let stand 1 hour. Then simmer for 20 minutes. Add tomatoes, celery, carrot, potato, rice, onion, and bouillon cube, salt, and pepper. Brown ground beef in separate pan. Bring soup to boil; add meat. Cover and simmer for 1 hour.
